I have experience working with a wide range of issues, needs, and goals ranging from every-day life stressors to serious mental illness and posttraumatic stress. I specialize in treating co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders and the emotional, spiritual, social, and/or attachment wounds that often drive them. I accomplish this by empowering and enabling people to free themselves from their past wounds and find hope and joy in their current life, whatever their circumstances may be.
My overarching approach is based in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which focuses on increasing psychological flexibility through willingness to experience life as it is, self-compassion, and a commitment to personal values. I am also EMDR trained and tailor my approach to the preferences, needs, and goals of each individual.
I have always wanted to help people, and have found great satisfaction in helping others find greater relief, self-compassion, and joy in their life. I believe that each person needs to experience a warm, accepting, and non-judgmental relationship that can unlock new perspectives and their own capacity for healing.

Groups
Adult Addiction Process Group
Open group with a hybrid psychoeducational and process format. Therapeutic techniques from motivational interviewing, relapse prevention therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy will be utilized to facilitate psychoeducation and processing on a variety of topics (e.g.: life skills, cognitive distortions and thinking errors, relapse prevention planning, coping skills, communication skills, mindfulness, etc.) relevant to addiction. The purposes of the group are to provide a safe space for self-discovery and social support, assist in developing various skills helpful in addiction recovery, and facilitate learning about the intersection of addiction and other mental health issues.
