Hello, I'm David Simons, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I specialize in supporting clients with addiction, gambling issues, relationship difficulties, and work-related stress. My approach is grounded in treating each person as an individual, building a genuine therapeutic connection to foster trust and open communication. By incorporating a client-centered approach, I work collaboratively with clients to address their unique challenges and create meaningful, lasting change.
I use a combination of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and person-centered techniques to tailor therapy to each client's unique needs. With DBT, I help clients build skills in emotion regulation, mindfulness, and distress tolerance, which are especially useful for managing addiction and relationship challenges.
I work with adults who are navigating addiction, relationship struggles, and work-related challenges. This includes individuals dealing with substance use, gambling, or other addictive behaviors, as well as those facing difficulties in personal or professional relationships.
