I've been an individual and couple therapist for over 2 decades. I work in a friendly, genuine way, creating a safe space in which to help individuals and couples feel better or deal with life challenges - relationships, work issues, low self-worth, or just "stuck." My specialty as a couple therapist is to be sensitive to the different styles of men and women, while both exploring underlying issues and providing tools for healthier communication. In all of my work, I use methods proven by research. For all clients, I believe people should leave therapy feeling, "This person really helped me."
Many of my clients are in the entertainment, legal, or business fields. I help them navigate the stresses in these professions, deal with the anxious and "low mood" times, and help with life decisions. I value finding a balance between our thinking and feeling brains, and getting closer to loved ones by sharing our authentic feelings.
I am interactive and give a lot of feedback. We may explore your past or figure out pragmatic solutions to present-day problems, depending on your goals. I want you to both feel better and grow -- achieving true self-acceptance in an atmosphere free of judgment, with no risk of being shamed.
