About
I am the developer of the Transformative Couple Therapy (formerly called AEDP for Couples). I teach and supervise this method nationally and internationally. This method is distinct from other approaches in that we do not seek to find what is wrong with the relationship, but rather we uncover the felt experience of love that has become buried over time. This method is unique in that the couple members speak directly to each other from the first moments of the first session and with the skillful structure the therapist provides, they discover how to create experience of loving and being loved that they have been missing.
See https://transformativecouplestherapy.com/ for video and photographic examples that describe the process further. My approach shows couple members how help each other heal the relational deprivation and trauma that so often underlies stuck patterns of conflict, disruption and distancing in daily life.
I help couple members to find and expand their selves-at-best in everyday living between sessions as an extension of the work we do within sessions. As a couples-focused therapist, I hold in mind in every session the inspiration I feel toward the children of the couple who benefit from the harmony the therapy creates. Peace, love and kind firmness spread!

AEDP Group Therapy San Anselmo
AEDP Group Therapy is about cultivating authenticity and truth-telling that builds a depth of connection with self and others. These group sessions move the process of growing bonds that contribute to healing attachment-level wounding from historical trauma and deprivation. Past experience with these groups has shown accelerated change and a lasting sense of well-being. We use the AEDP for Couples model and expand it to the group context, so the group members can grow more "earned secure attachment", whole-body awareness and inner guidance.
