I am a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC II) in the state of Tennessee, a Nationally Certified Addictions Counselor (NCAC I), and a Qualified Clinical Supervisor (QCS). I have over 20 years of experience treating chemical addictions, codependency, and family issues. I have worked with adolescents, adults, and the elderly. I have experience in working in treatment center, intensive outpatient, and private practice settings, specializing in individual, group, and family counseling. My Counseling Office is located at Sewanee Holistic Health at 141 University Avenue in the Folks at Home building. I keep hours by appointment only.

The major goal of therapy is to help you identify and cope more effectively with problems in daily living and to deal with inner conflicts which may disrupt your ability to function effectively. This is accomplished by: (a) increasing personal awareness, (b) identifying personal treatment goals, (c) increasing personal responsibility

and acceptance to make changes necessary to attain your goals, and (d) promoting wholeness through counseling and personal healing and growth. You will be asked to play an active role in your treatment, including working with me to outline your treatment goals, assess your progress, and complete written assignments.
