As a Clinical Social Worker, I have provided counseling services within various agencies since 2002. My work is focused on enhancing the emotional well-being of those who are experiencing combat trauma, grief and loss, domestic violence, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and childhood trauma. My training has afforded me with the opportunity to assist individuals and families with establishing a foundation for the long-term management of their mental health needs.
My goal is to create an environment that is trusting, and safe, one that facilitates the establishment of a positive and supportive therapeutic relationship. This therapeutic alliance assists patients in being able to confront trauma in a manner that ultimately facilitates the possibility for change and promotes emotional healing within their lives.
I am a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist and trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy, (CPT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, (PP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, (CBT), and Intimate Partner Violence, (IPV). Completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, which I use in my work currently. I am a Certified Specialist in Anger Management.
