I frequently work with adolescents and young adults transitioning to college or early stages of employment, or adults coping with job stress and the prospect of seeking out a new job or preparing for retirement, or clients facing challenges in relationships, or coping with loss or health issues . Clients seek out a safe, warm environment, in order to experience unconditional support and a therapeutic framework to manage difficult emotions and feel more empowered to manage challenging situations. I am also experienced assisting families and couples in managing conflict and improving communication.
I have 35 years of experience working in clinical and school settings, and currently provide individual, family, and couples therapy to teens, college students, and adults. I incorporate a cognitive-behavioral approach to supporting clients coping with difficult life transitions. Strategies are provided to better cope with anxiety, anger, depression, trauma.
Our initial meeting will be an opportunity to get to know each other and plan collaboratively to establish therapy goals. I am flexible and empathetic, and open to any questions you may have during an initial consultation.
