About
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I offer a therapeutic place for people interested in exploring how the challenges or “symptoms” you are experiencing are preventing you from being your best self. My foundational training as a Clinical Social Worker has been enhanced with advanced trauma training including EMDR, relational / attachment work as a Circle of Security Parent Facilitator, Buddhist psychology and mindfulness. Several modalities inform my practice including somatic healing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and a relational approach leading to a greater sense of feeling grounded and whole.
Some common areas I work with include anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, life transitions, and relationship issues (couples, parent/child). I believe that symptoms of depression and anxiety emerge when we feel disconnected, or when we experience things that are overwhelming that lead to symptoms of trauma.
I can support you in terms of what is happening with your emotions and thoughts but equally as important, I can support you in learning to regulate your nervous system which will lead to a greater sense of safety and well-being. Together, we will co-create an emotional container wherein you can feel safe to explore the challenges you’ve identified.
