About
Your goal is for you or your loved one to feel better ASAP right? Well, I have 25+ years experience doing exactly that. I'm also am an author, professor, past prez. of the PA Psych. Assoc., Fellow of three psych. organizations, a frequent media source (e.g., CNN, Washington Post, NYT) and a creator of social media content. I specializes in kid, teen and couple issues. I treat adults and youth in individual, marital and family therapy. I have three primary goals (1) To create a confidential, caring and warming atmosphere for my clients. (2) To offer services that are informed by science. And, (3) to offer life altering results ASAP.
I emphasize my clients' strengths and not rushing in with suggestions until I have taken enough time to understand each person well. I also value collaborating with my clients in forming transformational goals and in choosing the science-based methods for healing and the promotion of happiness. For kids and teens I also use magic to forge a relationship.
My resume is at www.helpingfamilies.com. My YouTube channel is at www.KidsandCouples.com, my blog is at www.hecticparents.com and my Twitter feed is @HelpingParents. I also place an emphasis on using the findings from positive psychology in my practice.
