I am a licensed clinical social worker and experienced psychotherapist trained in the use of cognitive behavioral therapy. I am also certified as a clinical trauma professional. My ultimate and foremost goal as a therapist is to create a compassionate, non-judgmental and caring space where people can be safe to work through emotional distress and challenges that can seem overwhelming. Together we can work on helping you to overcome obstacles to living a life that is fulfilling and satisfying, even when the stresses of life can lead you to believe otherwise.
I specialize in helping adolescents and adults who struggle with or are impaired by depression and other mood disorders, anxiety and adjustment disorders, self esteem issues, grief resulting from loss and post traumatic stress. I will also incorporate use of mindfulness, polyvagal and somatic theories and a person centered/strengths based approach.
