The people I work with in therapy often want change in their lives, such as relief from anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, guilt or shame, help navigating difficult situations, LGBT issues, and improved communication between partners/spouses, family members, and friends. I provide the means for my clients to explore issues and the sources of those issues.
In both individual and couples work, I usually work with principles of mindfulness and somatic therapy. Our current experiences are invariably influenced by a lifetime of impressed sensations, feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. I believe that the physical sensory-feeling self can be an amazing guide, informing us of what we need and how to get it.
I help people tune into their sensory-feeling -thinking-behaving selves to use their strengths while working through difficulties.
