About
I offer comprehensive psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults as the primary focus of my practice. I believe in using well researched methods of assessment, restricting their interpretation to the scope for which they were designed and in providing well constructed, detailed and informative conclusions and feedback designed to help guide the client with succinct and thoughtful recommendations generated from the evaluation. I chose to maintain a small therapy practice in addition to my primary evaluation focus working with children and adults experiencing challenges with mood, anxiety, and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorders.
I am a compassionate listener, yet a directive therapist as I attemtpt to facilitate personal exploration and understanding as well as encourage independence in the clients with whom I work. My primary focus is to help facilitate efficient and satisfying progress toward personal goals identified by the client.
I am a former educator and have a working knowledge of both the potential for sound intervention in the classroom as well as an empathetic appreciation for the realtistic limitations educators face when working with particular students. I incorporate such understanding in my work with children and with their teachers.
