Hello I am David Gutierrez LMFT, I am a bilingual Spanish/English Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. I have a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University. I am a certified EMDR therapist through the EMDR International Association and I am also a certified clinical hypnotherapist through the National Board of Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists. I have over 8 years of experience providing high-quality mental health services. I am also a US Navy veteran and have experience working with veterans dealing with PTSD, military sexual trauma, addictions, and other mental health issues.
I am passionate about the services that I provide. I understand that the main factor that will help you heal is the therapeutic alliance formed between you and me in our sessions. I have experience helping trauma survivors heal their trauma, learn coping skills, increase functioning and gain hope for their future.
My approach is person-centered, compassionate, empathic, and motivated to help you achieve your goals. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, camping, cooking, and taking road trips.
