My approach to therapy is collaborative, systemic and strengths based. I am interested in the meaning made from your stories and life experiences. I find it is often in these stories, told to us and by us, that we find meaning and purpose. Unfortunately, not all these stories are desirable.
My hope is that therapy can help loosen and liberate you from the problems affecting your life; that you may experience and start to live into your hopes and dreams. Together we will work towards creative solutions that align with your values. I draw upon techniques found in Narrative therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Solution focused therapy.
Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) and often use this approach. My experience comes from working with children and families in crisis, young adults, families, and couples throughout the lifespan over the course of the last 9 years.
