Hi there! My name's David Flack. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Substance Use Disorders Professional (SUDP). Since 2002, I’ve provided counseling to teens and emerging adults. Most of my clients are cisgender guys, but I regularly meet with individuals of all genders, with a focus on trauma, depression, substance related issues, problematic pornography use, oppositional behaviors, and/or LGBTQ+ topics. Over the years, I've developed a few deep dive specialities include addressing sexual trauma in adolescent males, managing intrusive thoughts, and ending behavioral addictions.
I especially enjoy meeting with clients who are reluctant to engage in therapy... or don't think therapy will help... or are somewhat ambivalent about it all. That tells me - even if you're feeling stuck, disappointed, or frustrated - that you haven't given up yet. You're just not sure what might be effective right now. I'm ready to help you figure that out.
Many of my clients have been in counseling before and found the typical cookie-cutter approaches just didn't work for them. Don't worry! We won't be doing any of that.
