Hi, my name is David, and I’m excited to connect with you and share a bit about myself and my approach. I've helped past clients with many challenges, including mistrust of others, OCD/PTSD symptoms, identity confusion/life-transition struggles, sudden loss of loved one, acute social anxiety, trauma history, suicidality/non-suicidal self-harm, relationship issues, loss of motivation/energy, and struggle to implement coping skills. I've also worked with clients managing religious trauma, phobias, dissociation, procrastination, shyness, social isolation, and fear of rejection.
My style focus is Person-Centered and building a strong rapport with the client before issues and problems they are experiencing. I utilize humor, shared interests, and authentic presentation when providing therapy. I use various modalities to help the client's struggles, knowing that there is no "one-size-fits-all" approach.
Many clients talk about the feelings of safety and support they felt during our time together. Clients additionally discuss learning about the ins and outs of different coping skills and actually integrating them rather than just being told them. Overall clients stated how they learned that their journey does not have to be done alone.
