I am a therapist who seeks to energetically and compassionately work with clients to understand their issues early in treatment. I believe in focusing on present and past behaviors and experiences to improve functioning in the future. I have advanced training in psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral and family systems therapy.
I have specialty training in marriage and family therapy (Pepperdine University, 1982). I have specialty training in supporting the spiritually devout in recovering from mental illness while honoring their values. I have spoken nationally and at the state level on improving psychology and the special needs of the religiously devout.
