I am a trauma-informed, intersectionality-minded psychotherapist specializing in mood disorders, trauma and relationships. I speak fluent English and Spanish. I am first generation and a member of the LGBTQIA community. I have vast experience working with people who are challenged by sadness and/or intrusive worrying and people who have a history of self-harm and suicidal ideation. I have empathy in working with clients in overcoming sexual abuse/intimate partner violence, intergenerational trauma, racial trauma and other trauma work. I work with short-term goals and/or taking our time to get to know each other for long-term goals.

I specialize in working on family relationships, couples work, sexuality and gender identity, and people struggling to cope with stress in the body. I have a long history working in the substance abuse field, 12- steps and facilitating workshops. I have a passion for Spanish Speaking families that struggle between children, parents and extended family).

My typical approach is that the first three sessions will be about getting to know the client and the presenting problem that brought them into therapy. By the end of the third or fourth session, I would be able to share with the client the techniques and skills that we would be be using in session and clarification on the short-term and long-term goals they desire.
