About
Hello! My name is David DeNavarra. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with over 13 years of experience. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, mood stabilization, relationship issues, spiritual/existential difficulties, parenting problems, behavioral issues, anger issues, career challenges, personality disorders, codependency, severe and persistent mental illnesses, life changes, addictions, and trauma histories. I have extensive experience working with individuals as well as families/youth and customize treatment and approach to meet your unique and specific needs.
My therapy style is interactive and holistic, treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, while empowering the individual to make goals and changes consistent with internal values. My therapeutic approach is eclectic, borrowing from cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, systemic, rational-emotive, solution-focused, and trauma-informed therapies.
Seeking treatment is daunting. It requires a great deal of courage to change your life and seek a happier, more meaningful life. My job is to help increase your skills, as well as support and empower you through a collaborative partnership. I look forward to working with you!
