Hello! My name is David and I am a therapist (LPCC) at CTG :) I can see clients anywhere in Ohio via telehealth! (Currently taking individuals and couples) I am a queer/punk therapist with skills rooted in psychoanalytics, "unmet needs," and Internal Family Systems. My style of therapy is involved and advanced (not in a scary way!). My clientele is ideally ready to dive deep- trauma, personality issues, sexuality/gender exploration, ADHD, monogamous and non-monogamous relational issues, workplace stress, and identity incongruence. Also, I'm not the annoying white therapist that can't take handle cultural topics in session.
Offering telehealth services makes my therapy flexible. My sessions are involved and personal- I reject some of the toxic features of the medical model in order to reduce the "one-size-fits-all" approach. Humor, flexibility, creativity and understanding all describe the therapy I provide and who I am.
I'm very down to earth and conversational - I try and balance the idea that therapy is a safe relationship & that it's challenging. Pumping the gas/breaks when needed. I work super well with alternative, punk, queer, multi-cultural and nomadic clients - rest assured knowing that you're not going to have to overexplain your identities to me.
