I have been in private practice for 14 years, during which I have worked with adolescents and adults sorting through a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship issues and spiritual struggles related to mental health.
Therapy is deeply creative work that involves imaging new ways of seeing yourself in relationship to the world. Like all creative work, it requires attention, practice and the courage to risk being vulnerable. I am in awe of anyone brave enough to embrace the challenge.
I value kindness, openness, curiosity and humor. These qualities shape my approach to both therapy and life. I also draw from several therapeutic approaches in order to provide the tools and perspectives that will best serve the individuals I am working with, including the psychodynamic and family systems modalities.
