Relationships have the power to both hurt and heal us. I enjoy working with couples and individuals who struggle with unresolved traumas, relationship issues, mood disorders, and life transitions. I offer a trauma-informed creative and grounded approach to counseling. I use attachment-based approaches in EMDR, Expressive Arts, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help people move toward healing and reduce suffering.
EMDR is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences. Expressive Arts therapy emphasizes trauma repair and underscores how creative expression connects us to ourselves and to others.
EFT is a scientifically proven method for working with couples. It improves the attachment bond and helps to create more satisfying relationships. Couples often feel more loved and supported when they learn how to bond with their partner in healthier ways. Usually, parenting and family dynamics improve as well. I have advanced training using this method.
