To help us get there I use attachment- and body-based approaches of Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT), EMDR, and Expressive Arts.
EFCT is a scientifically proven method for working with couples, focusing on their attachment bond, connection, and emotional safety. Couples often feel more loved and supported when they learn how to bond with their partner in healthier ways. Usually, parenting and family dynamics improve as well. I have advanced training using this method.
EMDR is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and PTSD, as well as other distressing life experiences like anxiety, depression, and phobias. Expressive Arts therapy emphasizes trauma repair and underscores how creative expression connects us to ourselves and to others.
