About
As a potential client, know that your courage to face personal vulnerabilities and uncertainties is acknowledged from the start. To realize and understand the efforts you've made already affords us early opportunities to consider possibilities in therapy. Your desired outcome is the goal. The process of sharing, reflecting, and adjusting any internal and relational patterns is our therapy means to this end. The clinical approaches perhaps most reflective in therapy are cognitive-behavioral, inter-personal and family systems, and acceptance/commitment. Interventions are based on your child/family, couple, and individual needs.
My active licenses are (1) NC Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and (2) NC Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist. Total experience in the field is just over 20 years. I'm also a Certified ADHD Clinical Provider, which informs treatment, skills training, and parent/school support. Other clinical focus: depression/anxiety, non-substance addiction.
If you're searching for a therapist for yourself and/or a family member, then we know and can appreciate this is a time of difficulty, whether in relationships or personally. Having a good connection with a therapist is critical. The Family Wellness Center website offers more therapist/agency background and focus to assist with a decision to schedule.

The Family Wellness Center, PLLC
Originated in 2007, The Family Wellness Center is a private outpatient behavioral health and substance abuse practice. We have three fully licensed clinicians that serve children and adults of all ages. We also have 10 years experience providing services in local school systems for grades K-12. Different from most small practices, we support a full-time practice manager to assist with client scheduling, insurance/billing questions, and care coordination. We want our clients to be able to talk directly with Suzanne to assist with administrative needs, whether by phone or in-person.
