Developing resilience, grit, and utilizing strengths are an important part of my therapy.
My therapy is informed by contemporary psycho-dynamic theory and also by current research into the best practices for therapists, including relational and attachment-based therapy. I have found these approaches integrate into a caring, comprehensive, and highly effective approach to therapy.
My career has combined clinical practice, academic teaching, and clinical supervision, as a director of university psychology clinics and adjunct professor of psychology for 25 years (University of Michigan-Dearborn and University of North Carolina-Greensboro) and honored as Emeritus CAPS Director by AUCCCD for leadership and exceptional career service.
