Finding a good therapist is really hard. And even if you find a good one there still might be personality issues or incompatibilities. To be honest, there's not a lot that can be done about this, compatibility issues are real and finding something that works is hard. What I can tell you is that I am a good therapist, I strike a balance between active listening, and giving coaching and clarification of issues when you're stuck spinning in your own head. I practice a non-judgmental approach which means I can call you out without introducing shame or guilt.
I keep my practice limited and specialized, what I do I do really well, and if it's not on the list then I'll help you find someone who can really help. I seem to fit best with client's who are intelligent, depressed, sensitive, perfectionist, and empathetic. As well as clients for whom therapy has not been all that helpful in the past.
I use EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, alongside existential philosophy and modern psychology to treat trauma-related issues including physical, emotional and sexual abuse; traumatic life events, and chronic trauma related to neglect, perfectionism, existential meaninglessness, hopelessness, sexuality - dating and loss, and self worth issues.
