Hi, My name is Daryl Essey, I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor. My primary approach to therapy is person-centered in that I ask the client to navigate our shared experience. I have worked directly with others in all of my endeavors. As a dedicated musician, I fulfilled my obligations with work in the restaurant industry. After becoming a licensed educator I followed a path to becoming a therapist which used human connection as motivation.
I am a past educator and life-long musician/writer which imbues my approach with creativity and learning. I have a trauma focus with expertise in addiction. I have a diverse client portfolio. My specific strengths are addictive behaviors and trauma resolution.
I have an eclectic personality that is grounded culturally and spiritually. I attempt to bring a confidence of exploration to my therapeutic environment and atmosphere. I intend goal-setting to be client-driven. Initial expectations of clients should be to be heard.
