I am Darian Phillips Fawbush, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 6 years of experience in the mental health field. I specialize in supporting clients with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, women's issues, rural mental health, and the intersectionality of familial, social, and cultural dynamics that can bring a diverse range of challenges. I proudly identify as an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community and affirm all spiritual or religious beliefs. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia's College-Wise and my Master’s degree in Counseling Education from Virginia Tech.
Having lived in rural Appalachia my entire life, I have a unique understanding of how social, cultural, and relational dynamics can impact a client’s sense of self. I use multiple treatment approaches, including trauma-informed care, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
