One of my main goals in the therapeutic relationship is to be a guide for people to have a safe space to develop what they already hold and have within to create the change they are seeking. Having hope and being able to tolerate the present moment are key components to coping with change and distress.
I have experience with children and adolescents, as well as adults. The issues I work best with are mood disorders, anxiety, and trauma related symptoms. Theoretically, I gravitate towards cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy with emphasis on mindfulness, and overall, tend to be eclectic when trying to meet a client where they are at.
