I assist my clients in breaking down the perceived barriers to this goal by targeting specific symptomology rather than diagnosis. My clients understand that the majority of the hard work they do is done outside of session and look forward to celebrating these successes with me during our time together. We work as a team to create a strong sense of accountability while building better quality of life through executive functioning, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.

I mold the foundations of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with other empirically supported treatments (MI, CBT) to fit the needs of my clients. A combination of skill use, gentle challenging of core beliefs and thought distortions, as well as strengths recognition has proven effective with a variety of clients.

My ultimate goal as a therapist is to provide a supportive environment that serves as a safe space for you to challenge yourself. I assist my clients in developing a natural reaction of "radical acceptance" in an effort to decrease overall suffering. Together, we can create a mindset that helps you to see your own strengths in any given situation.
