My psychodynamic therapy practice is for those in the young adulthood phase of life who are seeking to know themselves better so that they may become more free & content. It is particularly helpful to those who have a sense that their struggles have roots that deserve attention, understanding, & empathy.
Psychodynamic therapy is a well established form of therapy suited for our modern culture that recognizes the whole person and seeks to address the valid underlying causes of one's mental health & relationship challenges. This can begin a process of catharsis, healing, and growth as more of your experience becomes conscious.
I seek to create a supportive space - this begins with curiosity & holding space for you to express whatever is on your mind. I am interested in your struggles, disappointments, pain AND your joys, values, passions & strengths. I am here to help you fulfill more of your true whole self & strengthen your inner compass; not to tell you what to do or who to be.
Coming to therapy is not easy and starting with a new therapist is not either. It requires work, time, energy, money and some faith in the therapist and process. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to discuss what you are searching for and whether we may be a match to work together. Learn more at darasheik. org

Improving Personal Relationships
This 4-month + therapy group (5-6 members) meets weekly to explore how we connect with friends, partners, family, colleagues, and more. This group is for anyone feeling lonely, struggling with intimacy or conflict, or curious about their relationship patterns. Through shared reflection and honest interaction, members gain insight into how they show up in relationships and experience new ways of directly engaging with others. Growth occurs when others are able to mirror and recognize what we are not able to see in ourselves. Honesty and commitment are key as we learn together how to build more fulfilling & genuine connections.
