Art therapy is a treatment of choice for individuals who have experienced trauma. I am a licensed art therapist and counselor, as well as a sand tray therapist, who works with adolescents and adults who are experiencing the effects of trauma and many other emotional difficulties. In addition, I am now incorporating EMDR into my practice.
As a trauma informed therapist, I understand that there are many different types of trauma and that people who have been traumatized need support and understanding from a therapist who knows its impact on physical, psychological and emotional well-being. All of my practices emphasize building safety and trust within the therapeutic environment.
I combine art therapy, sand tray therapy, EMDR, and mindfulness to help you rebuild a sense of control and improve your overall sense of well-being.
