Welcome to my page! All appointments are currently offered online only via Skype or Zoom. I use an integrative approach to treatment including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, existential, and multicultural approaches to help adults and older adults with a variety of issues including anxiety and depression. I take a strength based approach to the work, and I work with patients for short-term therapy and for longer-term therapy. I focus on unconscious factors to help patients increase self-awareness and insight.
I have experience working with older adults, and I have been published as an author in the Journal of Homosexuality for my contributions to a project on the experiences of LGB elders. I also have experience researching micro-aggressions experienced by people with disabilities. Most recently, in January 2024, I published a book "A Little Bit About a Lot."
I have previously worked in Tele-Health and as a phone counselor, including with individuals in crisis. I have found that there are numerous benefits to Tele-Health for patients, including accessibility and convenience. For more information, please visit my website https://www.dannyelhassan.com/.
