Parenting is hard and when your little one is struggling it is hard to know what to do or where to go. I approach working with kids and families in a gentle and playful way. My style is to work with parents and kids to create meaning and understanding behind behaviors. I predominately use play with kids under 11 to help them tell their stories. Parents are collaborators in children's therapy, as they are agents of change and are their child's biggest advocates.
I have worked with kids 3 to 18 years of age in multiple different settings including in schools, crisis, day treatment, and as an in-home therapist. I specialized in working with children and families, in college, focusing specifically on children and families who have experienced Domestic Violence.
I have been lucky to work with a multitude of families, children, and systems throughout my career. I welcome any questions about me or what therapy means. I believe therapy is partnership which begins by understanding what it means and what it looks like.
