Trauma leaves a residue of dysfunctional thoughts, behaviors, and medical conditions that can and need to be detoxed out. EMDR treatment has effects such as no longer depending on pharmaceuticals, having an extra second to think, & more. I have spent two decades studying personality disorders, & the body's mechanism to dissociate. A spark was ignited when I first taught self-efficacy to orphaned and trafficked girls in India and I have been striving for change when others have given up ever since. We need to redefine and change the vocabulary of "mental illness" and "stable; into "gifted" and "recovered".
Memories and emotions have to link up, connect, to be digested and processed by the brain otherwise they build up and cause physical symptoms of anxiety, addiction, anger, pain, shaking etc.. Build ups occur naturally due to evolution. This must be removed and detoxed out of the body, unfortunately it cannot be done with medication, only neural processing.
EMDR is a medium that the artist, clinician, uses to navigate treatment. It does not involve detailed descriptions of the event, challenging beliefs, or create false memories. It is 5X faster than talk therapy. It increases future performance efficacy. EMDR treatment can greatly reduce or eradicate your need for anxiety, pain, and mood medication.
