My approach to therapy is trauma-informed and grounded in the idea that people are often intuitive about what healing looks like for them but may need support in the journey. I provide a compassionate space for healing, personal growth, and empowerment. I work with individuals to gain insight into how familial patterns, societal pressures, and childhood wounds influence their current issues and personal relationships. Sessions often focus on deconstructing unhelpful thoughts, reconnecting with your mind and body, and learning new ways of coping.
As a Black Caribbean queer therapist, I often work with Black women, BIPOC individuals, and the LGBTQ+ community. My areas of focus include trauma (including sexual trauma), racial stress, dating/relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, self-exploration, and imposter syndrome. I also provide group, couples, and family therapy with adolescents.
