My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed and rooted in the belief that people often carry an inner wisdom about what healing looks like—they may simply need the right support to access it. I offer a compassionate, culturally responsive space where you can slow down, explore your emotional world, and reconnect with parts of yourself. Our work may include understanding how family systems, cultural expectations, early attachment experiences, and societal pressures have shaped your patterns, relationships, and sense of self. Sessions often focus on deconstructing unhelpful thoughts, learning new coping skills, and deepening insight.
As a Black Caribbean queer therapist, my work is queer-affirming, attachment-based, and grounded in a social justice lens. I usually support BIPOC clients and LGBTQ+ individuals with trauma, racial stress, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, and relationships. I also serve couples, polycules, and families with teens or adult children.
Deciding to go to therapy may be a difficult decision due to societal and familial pressures to handle things on your own. But you deserve a space where your story is met with care, and therapy can help you reconnect with yourself and build more fulfilling relationships. I welcome you to reach out for a consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
