Sharing your individual difficulties, fears, desires, and dreams can be a challenging experience. Therefore, I focus on building a warm and safe therapeutic environment for introspection and self-discovery. I believe that we frequently we have the tools inside of us to heal our struggles and I seek to help you uncover those tools in therapeutic work. As a queer black woman, I understand it can be tough to find spaces to authentically express your true feelings, as well as get validation and support. I have experience holding space and processing the challenges that can arise from holding multiple marginalized identities.
I specialize in treating complex trauma and I am trained in EMDR and AEDP. With this perspective, we explore and hold space for deep-rooted traumas and create long-lasting change. My therapeutic framework also incorporates cognitive-behavioral and relational therapy modalities to meet clients where they are at and support them with their individual needs.
