I provide insightful and compassionate psychotherapy for individuals and couples struggling with unhealthy recurrent patterns in relationships and/or with compulsive/ addictive behaviors involving eating, substances, spending, working, etc. I also work with depression, anxiety, 12-step recovery, traumatic childhood experiences, the particular concerns of being an artist, and issues of identity.
I specialize in depth therapy, not simply focusing on symptom reduction, but seeking to understand the underlying causes. This is an approach that promotes greater growth and more lasting change. In service of this goal, I track material that is both known (conscious) and not known (unconscious). My overarching goal is to deepen your self-awareness, and increase your satisfaction in relationships and zest for life.
In addition to psychotherapy, I also have developed a unique practice for the treatment of money issues including compulsive spending, chronic debting, underearning, issues related to inherited wealth, and couples with money conflicts My Integrative Financial Counseling work combines my psychological and financial training to produce powerful results.
