About
As a licensed clinical psychologist, I strive to enhance each individuals sense of self-worth and be a support in developing healthy methods to effectively cope with challenging situations and/or triggers. My approach to treatment is always client-centered. I value the importance of a strong therapeutic alliance, and see the therapeutic relationship as a key component to outcome. This begins with providing a safe and nonjudgmental environment in which each individual can explore their fears, obstacles, strengths and hopes. I have experience and enjoy working with all age groups, including advanced training in working with adolescents and young adults.
One of my specialities is providing treatment for individuals battling eating disorders. I assist my clients in developing healthy methods to gain a sense of control that does not involve an over-focus on shape, weight, or food. I truly believe recovery is possible and I work closely with families to make recovery a reality.
In addition, I work with both children and adults that struggle with anxiety disorders, behavioral difficulties, low self-esteem, depression, and trauma. Furthermore, I have more than 10 years of experience providing therapy to children and adults with an autism spectrum disorder.
