I love working with children/adolescents (ages 3–17), adults and parents! I am especially passionate about supporting individuals as they navigate concerns with self-esteem, perfectionism, anxiety, depression, grief & loss, trauma, and relational concerns. I draw from neuroscience-informed, experiential, and play-based approaches to help clients move beyond words to better understand what their feelings are communicating and how needs can be met more effectively.
As part of my work with clients, I partner with my two dogs, Merry and Pippin, to offer Animal-Assisted Counseling (AAC), having completed training through Texas State’s AAC Academy. A therapy animal's presence can foster a greater sense of safety and comfort, helping clients feel more at ease as they explore difficult emotions and experiences.
At the heart of my work is the belief that people make sense. Many of the patterns we carry, such as anxiety, emotional outbursts, perfectionism, or withdrawal, developed as brilliant ways to cope or stay safe, even if they no longer serve us. In therapy, we approach patterns with curiosity and compassion, creating space for growth, connection and change.
