Welcome to my profile! I provide counseling services for individuals with the following: Neurodivergent Conditions, Anxiety and Depressive Disorders, and Stage-of-Life-Changes. I have a history of treating Adolescents (Ages 13-18) and Young Adults (18-30). In addition to serving clients from different backgrounds, I am an Autism Spectrum Disorder Certified Specialist. What this means is that I have experience and training to provide counseling and screening (not to be confused with psychological testing!) services to those who suspect that they are Autistic or have been previously diagnosed and are dealing with comorbid conditions.
I approach patients through a Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused, and Person-Centered approach within the counseling relationship. This means we explore typical thoughts, behaviors, and actions while finding healthier solutions to your identified difficulties. The space we share will be safe, affirming, non-judgmental, and equal as we navigate problems.
Many of us are scared to try therapy. We experience guilt, perceived stigma, and at one point may have had a negative counseling experience that stops us from reaching out for help. Revisiting therapy or simply giving it a try is something I find so valuable in all of my clients given it takes so much strength to make that initial step.
