About
My style of therapy involves the provision of a safe, nurturing, warm and professional environment in which to help people explore and gain insight into their behaviors and problems. Every person who enters my office is treated as a unique individual and I work together with that person to gently approach the most difficult or painful subjects and to gain mastery over them.
I am a psychodynamically-oriented psychotherapist and psychoanalyst, which means that the work I engage in with my clients is intensive and aims to foster deep and longlasting change.I am an engaged participant in this process and have many years experience with a variety of problems and populations.
I have been practicing for over 30 years and have worked in a variety of mental health settings in this country and abroad. I am a professor of psychology and an author. I bring my personal and professional knowledge and experience to all I do in an open and caring manner.
