Hi, I’m Elle (pronounced like the letter L). I’m a human and a therapist and, like you, I’m probably browsing PsychologyToday profiles in the middle of the night. Why? Because I just about never know what to write here. I’m also somehow not a mind reader, I can’t predict the future, and I don’t hold the secrets to the universe, even if your favorite therapist on TV can do all that and more.
You’re probably wondering what I can do. I can listen to you, accept you, and support you. I can get to know who you are and what matters to you, and ask questions that help you know yourself better. I still can’t promise all the answers, but I can promise to be present. After all, sharing what hurts with someone else often makes it feel a little less heavy.
