I have 5+ years of experience working with children (age 6-17) and even more experience with adults. My approach to therapy is client centered meaning that each individual has full autonomy to make their own choices. My job is help my client's make the most effective choices to meet their individual needs and goals.
My role is to provide validation and support to each client to aid in bridging the gap between dysfunction and growth. For children and teens, parental involvement can be a crucial factor to ensure lasting change. The amount of parental involvement in the therapeutic process will be dependent on your child's individual expressed needs.
