Love, sex & trauma. After experiencing stress or trauma we can experience anxiety, spaciness, tension, temper flares, relational conflict, or intense shame or worthlessness. Trauma can be obvious - a sudden, horrible event, but for many, life has been overwhelming, disconnected or emotionally isolated for a very long time. I use experiential therapies (visualizing, meditating and other creative approaches) to help you live out your values from a place of calm strength.
A lonely and disconnected relationship is painful. Experiential couples work allows people to gain empathy, which can transform the relationship from a chaotic space to a safe haven. By creating safety, partners will have more access to expressing their desires and hopes for sex and other aspects of the relationship.
As a therapist I see my role as a healing, creative guide walking with you towards your authentic self. You deserve a passionate and wholehearted life in your relationships, sex and day to day life.

At the heart, I am another human joining you to explore your story with curiosity. For trauma healing, I take a gentle approach using an Internal Family System-informed approach that moves towards EMDR processing or narrative therapy. For couples, especially those with trauma, I use EFT, an experiential therapy, and incorporate IFIO, both of which increase empathy and self-compassion.
