Here’s what working together might look like: We take time to build comfort with each other so that you can share vulnerably knowing you won't be judged. I'll offer empathy and encourage you to identify your physical sensations, emotions, and needs. I'll also ask where in your life you'd like to make changes. Our work together will be collaborative—you’ll drive & I’ll be an attentive, caring passenger who will ask questions and give honest feedback. In other words: sometimes I'll listen, nod, and beam empathy; and I'll also have a conversation with you to bring your thoughts beliefs, fears, hopes, and patterns to light.
My ideal client is motivated to learn about themself and enjoys slowing down and giving themself room to do so. I have a soft spot for creative people and young adults/adults who are experiencing a life transition—and those who want to :) I also love working with gender and sexuality. I identify as queer and ace-spec and have lived experience.
Other areas of experience & passion: anxiety, OCD, people-pleasers, communication skills (I’m trained in NVC), attachment theory, & using writing/art as part of healing from acute or long-term trauma. Therapy is art & science: I use evidence-based practices while offering improvisational conversation through which what needs attention can be seen & healed.
