I use evidence-based interventions grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to help clients gain insight, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and develop practical strategies to improve overall well-being.
During my 22 years teaching elementary and middle school students, I prioritized building trusting relationships centered on social-emotional growth. I understand the struggles with trying to balance multiple demands like academics, friends, sports, clubs, family, social media, etc.
In therapy, I create a safe emotional space for youth and adults by ensuring a warm, welcoming environment where they feel heard and respected. I establish trust through active listening and validation of their feelings. Additionally, I integrate age-appropriate therapeutic activities that promote self-awareness and emotional resilience.
