You likely know that the counselor-client relationship has proven to be a key factor in positive therapeutic change. Whether you are dealing with a single event or an ongoing issue, as your counselor I will foster that connection through a 'person-centered' approach, which means that you are the expert about yourself and my therapeutic knowledge augments what we uncover and address. Together, we boost your awareness and understanding of emotional, cognitive, and body-based patterns, and create a healthy tool kit that works for you beyond therapy. We plant the seeds of new patterns that you grow into a new way of being.
I have 15 years of experience in the mental health field. I practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed psychoeducation emphasizing the somatic connections between your mind and body. I hold a feminist, multicultural orientation, acknowledging the very real impacts societal systems have on us based on our personal identities & history.
I work with adults, adolescents, and children. I am a 2nd year Clinical Counseling Masters student at Adams State University, graduating in May of 2025. I am currently accepting new clients at Mended House Counseling LLC here in Albuquerque (505-218-6706) where I am an Intern Counselor.
