As a marriage and family therapist, I focus on relationships and the ways partners and families create meaning. My work nurtures dialogue and supports healing through relational repair, not only with others but through the ways that we understand ourselves. Recurring negative patterns, depression and anxiety occur within the full context of our lives. I provide an authentic space to process emotion, develop skills, cultivate mindfulness, challenge assumptions, and increase compassion.
My training and experience specialize in couples and family issues. This background includes advanced training in Gottman Method Couple Therapy, Emotion-Focused and Attachment-Based Family Therapy, and the Integrated Healthcare and Medical Family Therapy Intensive. I provide sex therapy for partners and my work is inclusive to the LGBTQIA+ community.
I approach individual therapy with an equally attuned and collaborative stance, addressing symptoms of depression, anxiety and trauma. Sometimes befriending our nervous system can show us how to slow things down, make sense of our experiences, and discover how to ground and participate in a way forward.
