I view therapy as a collaborative process that helps people solve problems and achieve greater fulfillment in their lives. I work closely with my clients to meet their needs, whether they wish to improve functioning and decrease maladaptive behaviors, work through traumatic experiences, better understand their emotions, behaviors, and thoughts, or strengthen their self-esteem and relationships. I aim to create a welcoming and safe therapeutic space by practicing cultural humility, honoring clients’ unique and intersectional identities, and providing affirming, nonjudgmental support.
I individualize treating using evidence-based interventions, like ACT, CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic therapy. I have a speciality working with BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ clients to address issues related to stigmatized/marginalized identities, trauma, gender, sexuality, sexual functioning, depression, substance use, and men's mental health.
