My successful clients are active psychotherapy participants who are dedicated and motivated for change. Introspective, he/she thinks about therapy outside of the office and attempts to use the knowledge and insight gained to improve relationships, goals, and life satisfaction. At times, psychotherapy requires difficult work from both the therapist and client, and the outcome is predicated by the mutual effort vested in the therapeutic process.
I offer individual, couples, and family psychotherapy to adults, adolescents and children (aged 8 and older), with a particular interest in men's issues. My primary modality of psychotherapy stems from the psychodynamic and interpersonal perspectives, although I also employ cognitive behavioral and existential techniques. Additionally, I have extensive psychopharmacology knowledge.
In addition to private psychotherapy practice, I have previously been a professor at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, teaching Adult Psychopathology and Group Therapy and Process. Now in Denver, I am on faculty at Denver Health where I work in an integrated primary care facility.
